Schedule your priorities,
instead of prioritising
what’s on your schedule
Back-to-back meetings via Zoom or Teams, firefighting … but your own results are lagging. Headquarters are increasingly demanding and increasingly setting your agenda. You work long nights to cope with the influx of e-mails and requests. So that when you do finally spend time with your family, you are restless and distracted.
The working hours of international executives extend beyond the usual 9 to 5, your work-life balance simply differs from many other employees’ life.
However, with best practices for e-mail, calendar, to-do list and your desk we can increase clarity and focus.
Trust returns to you and your department; you can let go of your work as soon as you close your laptop. In your free time you are a positively present partner and parent, because you can make yourself truly available.
Before you are a leader, it is all about growing yourself.

Do you want more clarity, focus and impact?
Mieneke is a great coach with great energy and communication skills, she listened to my needs and found ways that worked for me. The time investment wasn’t always easy to fit in, but I benefitted in the short term already: better work through less distraction. The best result of her coaching is that I can now finish the week with the peace of mind that all things urgent and not urgent are in a good state.
I thrive when I work with multiple deadlines; if I lack hard deadlines, I fall almost still and struggle to motivate myself. During one of these quiet times, I started working with Mieneke, however after starting the programme my work became extremely busy. Thankfully Mieneke was very flexible and considerate. More importantly, I benefitted immediately from the programme’s practical approach during these high-pressure times at work.
My email is now better organised and I clear my inbox fast, even after a particularly busy period. As a result of the programme, I use outlook actively to support me with my work. A bonus is that I gained insight in which tasks energise me, which tasks drain my energy, and what I can do to improve this balance.
I started working with Mieneke because I was looking for a well-functioning system - tailored to my needs - for my tasks, my calendar and my mailbox to keep a clear head. I did hesitate about the time investment, especially when work got more hectic by the day. It was well worth the investment: I process my email more efficiently and I retrieve emails and information much faster.
None of my tasks escape my attention now, and I have much more control over the tasks I delegate to others or for which I am dependent on others. In short: more control, more clarity and peace of mind.
